Palestinian terrorists know the IDF has the capacity to utterly destroy them. When the IDF holds back from doing so, they declare victory. They are right. The IDF have left them able to regroup, rearm and return to kill more Jews. No matter what their own death toll, one dead Jew is a victory.

Gods are tribal, therefore morality is tribal as well. To begin with, the order not to kill was related to a clan—a kinship group—so it was wrong to kill a member of the same clan and right to kill a member of a neighboring clan.
